Studio Hermes is a club and restaurant located in Bucharest , Romania , and takes its name from an old cinema that used to stand on the same site in Bucharest's old town .
Designed by Corvin Cristian , the venue hosts a wide variety of shows ranging from Cabaret acts to live music gigs .
The restaurant's design reflects and responds to the need for great ascoustics, and the look is reminiscent of 1960's auditorium .
While featuring a contemporary approach to design , other elements of the restaurant are pure mid twenthieth century , the Onyx bas , brass cymbal chandelier , velvet sofas and walnut wainscoting in counterpoint to the base concrete and exposed piping .
